I have been to Nepal five times because I love the place. It restores me. A friend told me about Sarangkot on my first trip. Always go back there. Always stay at MP when I am in Sarangkot because it is the best spot in Nepal if you want it all. You can go anywhere from here. The owners are excellent people. Nepalis. Every year every season brings something new. Come Paraglide in the Himalaya. Its worth it.

Life was meant to be like this. And then it was. Days were sunny and it was altogether brilliant. The atmosphere was laid back and friendly and we all had a great time chilling about the place and up on the roof. There are some fantastic walks from here you can do by yourself easily. The lodge owners put together a two day trek for a few of us out to a fantastic place called Australia Camp. Funny name, but it is where Ozzy trekkers have camped since they came. That was brilliant too. Unbelievable heritage Himalaya. Beautiful. Good value guys. I will See you again after Brazil.

I travelled to Nepal for a quick vacation (7-days) from Qatar where I work. I flew to Pokhara and and was attacked by 200 leaches in a swirling mist storm when I strayed of the track I was told about about up to the stupa. After that I turned to Vodka. I found in Pokhara. Then I found my way to Sarangkot online. A friend arrived and we went up together. Mountain Prince felt like I had come home to the right place. I stayed in the lodge for most of my stay in Sarangkot. It was all good. No regrets.

Booked online wondering how could a Himalayan mountain lodge manage online bookings but they did it. No problems at all. The lodge itself was as good as I hoped. Sarangkot is really worth the effort. If I had stayed in the city I would have missed out. I will be back maybe in 2010 or 2011 and I will stay at the Himalayan Mountain Prince again as a base pad. More time is important. Raft a long river friends. Girls and boys.

Then just relax in your private lodge and soak up the views and Himalayan sunshine.

Fly direct from Kathmandu to the Pokhara, in the Pokhara Valley via Yeti or Buddha Airlines. Greenline Coach is also highly recommended if you wish to come overland. Transfers up from Pokhara to Sarangkot are easily arranged.

Pokhara Valley itself is in the mid Western Himalaya of Nepal know as the Gandaki or river zone. Perhaps most famous for the holy river Kali Gandaki (The Black Goddess River). But first you will touchdown at Pokhara City within the valley. Populous 200,000, this is Nepal's second largest and most prosperous metropolis outside of Kathmandu.

At 1592 meters above sea level and 708M above Pokhara. The village allows you the most inspiring majestic views of the Annapurna Range and beyond. Nowhere else in Nepal provides such an easily accessible viewpoint The view that takes in many of Earths highest mountains standing together with six (6) peaks between 6986 and 8147 M. The Himalaya and its foothills are an immense landscape that take time to fully perceive. Importantly, you will have close access to all the surrounding Himalayan wilderness areas including local village communities, the Annapurna Circuit, Annapurna Base Camp, and the Annapurna Sanctuary.
